Eaton 50th anniversary
David and Phyllis Eaton of Penn Township celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner at Clifford's Restaurant in Evans City.
The former Phyllis Holland married Eaton Sept. 29, 1956, at the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Holmbury St. Mary, Surrey, England.
They have four children, Sara Coleman of Albany, N.Y.; Matthew Eaton of Chippewa; Jeremy Eaton of Seattle; and Sophie Eaton of Corte Madera, Calif.
They also have four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Eaton is retired from Dollinger Corporation, where he worked as a marketing manager. He is also a former employee of Mine Safety Appliances, where he worked from 1966 to 1989 in England, Scotland and Callery. He worked in the Air Filter Division inCallery.Mrs. Eaton is a homemaker and former display artist for England's Central Electricity Generating Board.
