Roenigk

Leland "L.B." Roenigk of Sarver will celebrate his 90th birthday with an open house from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Heide Hall in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sarver.

Roenigk was born Oct. 25, 1916, in Leasureville. He married Freda Mack on May 28, 1938.

He has six children, Carol Roenigk of Worland, Wyo.; Albert "Ouch" Roenigk and James Roenigk, both of Sarver; Leland Roenigk II of Hudson, Ohio; Frederick Roenigk of Cape Coral, Fla.; and Charles Roenigk of Freeport.

He also has 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Roenigk is a retired equipment operator for W.L. Roenigk, Inc. He continues to enjoy farming and has owned more than 50 Belgian horses.
