Burke

Daniel Burke of Butler celebrated his 90th birthday recently with a family dinner.

Burke was born Oct. 5, 1916, in Slate Lick. He married Loretta "Betty" Maloney Oct. 10, 1945.

He has three children, Daniel Burke of Renfrew; Ronald Burke of Naples, N.Y.; and Eileen Lammie of Elkins, W.Va. He also has seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Burke worked as a steam fitter and welder for Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

He belongs to St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church. A prisoner of war during World War II, he is also a member of the VFW and Disabled American Veterans.
