Ken and Juanita Martin

Ken and Juanita Martin of North Washington will celebrate 50 years of marriage with an open house for family and friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 26 at the North Washington Fire Department's Community Building.

The former Juanita DeVault married Martin on Dec. 26, 1956, at First Baptist Church in Coraopolis.

They have a son, Gilbert McGarvey of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Martin is retired from Spang and Company, where he worked as a machinist. He is a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Parker Lodge.

Mrs. Martin is a retired elementary school teacher. She is a member of the Pennsylvania State Educators Association, the Butler County Retired Teachers.

The couple belongs to North Washington Presbyterian Church.
