Ronald and Edith McCormick

Ronald and Edith McCormick of Evans City will celebrate 50 years of marriage with an open house picnic to be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at EDCO Park in Evans City.

McCormick married the former Edith Maier June 20, 1958, at St. John Lutheran Church in Mars.

They have five children, Lois Maustellor of Lanesville, Ind.; Kathleen Senn of Evans City; Ronald McCormick Jr. of Portersville and Nancy Frishkorn of Evans City. A daughter Debra McCormick is deceased.

They also have nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

McCormick is retired from Penn Power in Zelienople. He is a member of the Butler County Pilots Association.

Mrs. McCormick is retired from Viola's Market in Evans City. She volunteers at Evans City Elementary School.

The McCormicks are members of Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Evans City where Mrs. McCormick serves as a deacon.
