Jane and Robert Nienstedt

Robert and Jane Nienstedt of Butler celebrated 55 years of marriage May 9 with friends from New Haven Court.

The former Jane Schmoker married Robert Nienstedt on May 9, 1953, at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

They are close with their three nieces, Mary Brauch of Jamestown, Mo.; Mady Scarborough of Elktown, Md., and Allison Kyle of Elktown, Md.

Nienstedt is retired from working as a mechanical engineer.

Mrs. Nienstedt is a homemaker.

The couple are members of Faith United Presbyterian Church in Butler.
