3:24 p.m. Oct. 9 — A car driven by Barbara L. Friend, 74, of Butler rear-ended another car on East Jefferson Street. Friend, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Tammi S. Rossi, 40, of Jefferson Township was the other driver.

9:44 a.m. Tuesday — A 74-year-old woman was injured when her pickup truck hit a deer on Route 208 just west of Old Ash Road in Springfield Township. The deer slammed into the driver's side windshield. The driver, Patricia Cross of Volant, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.1:30 Saturday — One person was hurt in a single-vehicle crash in Pine Township. Kenneth D. Mesmer, 30, of Jackson Center lost control of his car and hit two trees on George Junior Road about one mile north of Route 58.Mesmer, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. He was cited for a lane violation.Friday — A pair of binoculars and other unspecified items were stolen from a garage in a burglary at an Irishtown Road home in Pine Township. The break-in happened Nov. 22 or Friday.
