Soose 45th anniversary
Gerald "Joe" and Annabelle Soose of Butler celebrated 45 years of marriage with a family barbecue.
Soose married the former Annabelle Webb on July 9, 1965, at Unionville United Presbyterian Church.
They have one child, Crystal Soose Collins of Butler. They also have three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Soose is the owner of Soose's Salvage and Recycling. He retired from the U.S. Army and Navy Reserves after serving for 40 years. He fought in the Korean conflict. He was the first youth from Butler to attend the San Diego Naval Training Center.
Mrs. Soose is retired from Butler Memorial Hospital after 43 years as director of housekeeping and laundry.
The Sooses enjoy traveling, camping, collecting antiques and spending time with family.
