The Shermans in 1960

Gerald and Mary Sherman of Renfrew celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner.

Sherman married the former Mary Hayden on Aug. 13, 1960, at St. Bridget's Church in Abington, Mass. They have four children, Raymond Sherman of Butler, Barbara Snyder of Renfrew, Deborah Miskevich of Evans City and Annie Schultz of Zelienople. They also have seven grandchildren.

Sherman is retired from Armco.

Mrs. Sherman is a homemaker.

The Shermans belong to Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
