Burtner 70th anniversary
C. Keith and Mary Burtner of Butler will celebrate 70 years of marriage with an open house from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at their home, 106 Ginger Lane.
They also will host a catered family dinner on Saturday.
Burtner married the former Mary Greer on Aug. 28, 1940, at the home of the bride's parents in Butler.
They have four children, Nancy Heberling of Hilton Head Island, S.C., Janet Matusak of Middletown, Ohio, Don Burtner of Butler and Bruce Burtner of Butler.
They also have seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Burtner worked for Armco for 42 years as a forgesmith. He also owned and operated his own forgesmith shop for 16 years.Mrs. Burtner is a homemaker and floral designer.The Burtners have been members of First United Methodist Church for 55 years.
