10:30 a.m. Thursday — Breeze Hammersly, 22, of Butler was charged with retail theft after she allegedly stole a 1917 red seal U.S. currency note valued at $160 from E&S Variety Shop on North Main Street and tried to resell it at Antiques on North Main Street.
7:08 p.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by Lisa Bowen, 39, of Butler and a vehicle driven by Marie Muth, 73, of Butler collided at the intersection of North Main Street and Belmont Road. Bowen was taken by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital and Muth was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital. Bowen was cited for careless driving.5:19 p.m. Thursday — Kerry Lascuola, 24, of Butler was charged with retail theft after she allegedly tried to take nine cosmetic items from Wal-Mart in Butler Commons.4:40 p.m. Thursday — Pat Michael Newman Mulholland, 24, of North Augusta, S.C., was charged with criminal attempt acquisition by misrepresentation and identity theft after he allegedly used the name of a doctor and another person to obtain Vicodin from the Rite Aid pharmacy at Greater Butler Mart. Mulholland is in Butler County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.4:19 p.m. Thursday — William Miller, 23, of Parker was charged with retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia after he allegedly stole two drug test kits from Wal-Mart in Butler Commons and was found to have syringes in his pocket.12:20 p.m. Thursday — Jill M. Jancse of Portersville and Dacia R. Walker of Prospect were charged with retail theft after they allegedly tried to steal items from the Wal-Mart in Butler Commons.
8:12 p.m. Thursday — Larry G. Evans, 48, of Butler was charged with simple assault after he allegedly hit Jason Anthony Davis, 30, of Butler in the head within aluminum baseball bat.7:30 p.m. Thursday — A motorcycle driven by Doug Weaver, 19, of Portersville crashed along West Park Road near North Shore Drive in Muddy Creek Township. Weaver was taken by ambulance to Allegheny General Hospital. He also was cited for driving too fast.4:28 p.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by a 16-year-old Portersville boy and a pickup truck driven by Jose Gonzalez, 40, of Butler collided on Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township. The 16-year-old driver and his passengers, two 16-year-old boys from Portersville, were wearing seat belts and suffered minor injuries. Gonzalez and his passenger Anibal Gonzalez of Butler were wearing seat belts and were not injured. The 16-year-old driver was cited for a traffic violation, and Jose Gonzalez was charged with driving under suspended registration.11:30 p.m. Wednesday — Someone crashed a 1991 Oldsmobile coupe along North Riverview Drive in Hovey Township, Armstrong County. The driver and occupants fled the scene, and state police from Butler are investigating.
