The Oesterlings in 1961

Shirley and Cliff Oesterling, Jr of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family trip to Hawaii.

Oesterling married the former Shirley Greenawalt on Aug. 12 1961 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Butler.

They have two children, Tami Schiebel and Cliff Oesterling, III, both of Butler.

They also have three granddaughters.

Oesterling is retired from the hot metal department at Armco Steel. He is a member of the American Legion Post 0117.

Mrs. Oesterling was a homemaker.

The Oesterlings are members of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

They enjoy reading, bicycling, traveling and spending the winters in their home in Flordia.
