Weiland 65th anniversary
Donald and Emma Weiland of Butler celebrated 65 years of marriage with a family dinner at Miller’s Restaurant in Karns City.
Weiland married the former Emma Glynn on June 1, 1949, at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Sugar Creek Township.
They have six children, Elaine Minto of Butler, Joan Anderson of Lower Burrell, Judy Ross of Sarver, Jack Weiland of Butler, Alice Nelson of Tampa, Fla., and the late Paul Weiland.
They also have 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Weiland retired from Armco’s Butler operations and worked in the silicon maintenance department.
He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, Chicora VFW, Chicora American Legion and the Chicora Senior Center.
Mrs. Weiland is a homemaker. She also is a member of the Chicora Senior Center.
The Weilands are members of St. Wendelin Church in Butler.
