McIndoe

The angels came to take Regina Mae Hanna McIndoe to her spiritual home. She died peacefully in her home in Cabot on Monday following a short illness.

Born July 5, 1926, in Butler County, she was a daughter of the late Oliver Lester and Nellie Elizabeth Nugent Hanna.

She had attended the Butler Memorial Hospital Nursing School and retired in 1987 as a registered nurse at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Regina was a faithful member of St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville, where she also was a member of the St. John Parish Ladies Guild. She also belonged to the Nurses Alumni in Butler.

Her hobbies included knitting hats for Caps for Kids, traveling and spending as much time as possible with her family and grandchildren.

On Feb. 14, 1952, she was united in marriage to Victor Herbert McIndoe, who preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 2003. To the blessed union eight children were born, Mrs. Robert (Kathleen) Schreck of Wichita, Kan., Mrs. James (Mary Alyce) Knauff of Tionesta, Ms. Marilyn McIndoe and Mr. Dani'l McIndoe, both of Butler, Mr. Thomas McIndoe of Syracuse, N.Y., Mrs. Roger (Christina) Myers of Erie, Mr. Patrick McIndoe of Charlotte, N.C., and Mrs. Rob (Susan) Mineo of Erie. From her children, she has 14 loving grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Leo Charles Hanna of Easley, S.C.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Grace Hanna Cypher and Alice Marie Hanna Saul.

<B>McIndoe</B> — Friends of Regina Mae McIndoe, who died Monday, June 25, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. John Roman Catholic Church, Coylesville. The Rev. Kenneth Kezmarsky will officiate.
