Slaughenhaupt, Neubauer
Crystal Slaughenhaupt and Walter Neubauer Jr., both of Butler, were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. April 24 at Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church. The Rev. David Brewer officiated. A reception followed at Hindman Hall.
The bride is the daughter of Richard and Sara Slaughenhaupt of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Patsy Neubauer of Butler and the late Walter Neubauer Sr.
The honor attendant was Kate Hanson of Glenside. Bridesmaids were Lauren Pappas, Kelly Book and Jill Book, all of New Castle, and Abbey Mills of Tionesta. The flower girl was Katelynn Book of New Castle.
Performing the duties of best man was Derek Neubauer of Butler. Groomsmen were Ed Stark Jr. and Matt Slaughenhaupt, both of Butler; Eric Book of New Castle; and Braden McBeth of Franklin. The ring bearer was Korey Mills of Tionesta.
The bride graduated in 1997 from Knoch High School, in 1999 from Butler County Community College and in 2001 from Penn State University. She works for U.S. Investigation Services in Boyers, Gwen's School of Champions in Saxonburg and Northwood Realty Services in Butler.
The bridegroom graduated in 1995 from Butler High School and in 1997 from Butler County Community College. He works for Robinson Industries in Zelienople and is the owner of Walt Neubauer Excavating in Butler.
Following a Caribbean Cruise honeymoon, the couple is making their home in Summit Township.
