Lyon

Walter L. Lyon, 70, of Cranberry Township and Portersville died Tuesday at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh.

Born June 13, 1938, in Cranberry Township, he was the son of the late James and Mildred Croft Lyon.

Mr. Lyon was a member of the Evans City Sportsman's Club. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping, water skiing, motorcycles and snowmobiling.

He retired as a carpenter after 35 years with Vin Fred Interior Systems, and he was a member of Carpenters Local 142.

He is survived by his son, Allen E. Lyon of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; his daughter, Renee Harancher of Fombell; his sister, Betty Kramer of Irwin; and two grandchildren, Kyle and Karie Harancher.
