Police reports

The following items have been collected from various police departments and district courts:

Adams Twp

March 5 — James Baldwin, 44, of Morgantown, W.Va., was charged with two counts each of felony theft and misdemeanor bad checks. Police said he stopped the payment on two checks.

Butler City

March 6 — Nicole E. Richards, 25, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief. Police said she smashed a window.

March 4 — Daniel L. Gerard, 40, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault and summaries harassment and disorderly conduct. Police said he punched someone multiple times.

Butler Twp

March 1 — Robert C. Kessler Jr., 54, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor driving with a suspended license after police stopped him Feb. 29 on Plateau Street.

Cranberry Twp

March 21 — Desiree Lee Smith, 60, of Orlando, Fla., was charged with forgery, bad checks, counterfeit access device, identity theft and false identification after police said she tried to cash a check worth $1,842 that was made out to an Ohio woman using her Ohio driver’s license at Farmers National Bank. Smith was placed in the county jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.

March 20 — James R. Masterson, 34, of New Castle, was charged with misdemeanor theft. Police said he left Walmart with $175 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

Harrisville

March 1 — Elijah H. Stewart, 26, of Harrisville, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment. Police said he shoved someone to the ground and attempted to take their cellphone.

State police, Butler

March 6 — Randy E. Risinger Jr., 37, of Parker, was charged with misdemeanors DUI and use and possession of drug paraphernalia after police stopped him Feb. 13 on East Jefferson Street, Butler. Police said he showed signs of impairment, and a search of his vehicle yielded empty stamp bags, two used syringes and a crack pipe.

March 6 — Courtney N. Stevenson, 28, of Butler, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor DUI after police stopped her on Monroe Street, Butler. Police said field sobriety tests showed she was impaired, and a later blood test showed her blood alcohol content at 0.145%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

March 5 — Brianna R. Letcher, 31, of Butler, was charged with thee counts each of misdemeanor DUI and drug possession after police stopped her Oct. 12 on Shore Street, Butler. Police said field sobriety tests showed she was impaired, and a later blood test showed traces of THC, cocaine and methamphetamine in her system. A vehicle search yielded suspected MDMA (ecstasy), marijuana, THC oil, a metal scrubber, and a smoking pipe.

March 5 — Craig T. Bastin, 61, of Saxonburg, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault and summary criminal mischief and harassment. Police said he punched someone in the face.

March 5 — Richard J. Auther, 44, of Sarver, was charged with misdemeanor terroristic threats and summary harassment. Police said he shoved someone and threatened to shoot them.

March 5 — Pati E. Taylor, 32, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor furnishing urine. Police said she attempted to use another person’s urine during a drug test.

March 1 — Ryan N. Banner, 37, of Chicora, was charged with felony drug sales and two counts of misdemeanor use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said he sold heroin to a confidential informant.
