Jerald D. "Jerry" Lint, born in Greenville Township, Somerset County, Pa., and of Cranberry Township, Pa., died Monday, Sept. 21, age 74.

Son of the late Joseph and Sadie (Christner) Lint, beloved husband of Ruth "Trudi" Lint of 43 years, married Jan. 28, 1966; proud father of Brad (Penny) of North East, Pa., and Mark (Ashley, fiancee); and loving grandfather of Belinda and Tristan Lint.

He also is survived by brothers, Paul R. Lint of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; Robert B. Lint of Johnstown, Pa.; David C. Lint (Janet) of Mars, Pa.; and Larry L. Lint of Akron, Ohio. He also is survived by stepbrother, Richard Baich (Dottie) of Florida, and stepsister, Ann Eva House (Tom) of Chippewa, Pa.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Joseph J. Lint and spouse Shirlee Lint; stepmother, Mary Lint; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Lint; and stepbrother, Michael Baich.

He is survived by 23 nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and great-nephews and three great-great-nieces and nephews.

Jerry previously worked for the Conco Services Corp., Power Inspection, Hydril, UTL, Babcock and Wilcox, and Diebold.

He enjoyed wildlife carving, and he was a member of the North Pittsburgh Chisels & Chips Carving Club. He was also a member of the Rose E. Schneider YMCA in Cranberry Township. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

He graduated from the University of Alabama, where he was a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity.

We find solace in Jerry's own estimation that the quality of a man's life is measured by how deeply he touches the lives of others. Jerry's gregariousness, generosity and wit are the stuff of legend, and he will be sorely missed by all who were privileged to know him. In the words of one of his closest friends, "He knew so much about so many things, and his stories will be ricocheting off the Allegheny hills for many years to come."
