9:21 a.m. Sunday — A pickup truck driven by Robert Rapp, 74, of Butler struck a tree at Whitestown and Woodlawn roads.5:20 a.m. Saturday — Jessica M. Masdea, 20, of Butler was arrested after she allegedly pulled a fire alarm at an apartment building on Old Plank Road where she and several others including a 17-year-old girl had allegedly been drinking. The alarm sent police and the South Butler Volunteer Fire Department to the building.Masdea was arraigned on charges of triggering the false alarm to public safety agencies, criminal mischief, tampering with a fire apparatus, underage drinking, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. She was placed in Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail following arraignment.Police said they also filed underage drinking charges against the 17-year-old as well Kyria Crawford, 20, Brittany Smith, 20, and Lee Leitch, 19, all of Butler. Additionally, police said, Benjamin Stiffler, 27, of Butler is charged with furnishing alcohol to minors and corruption of minors.7:50 a.m. Saturday — Benjamin Stiffler and Craig Crawford, 39, both of Butler face criminal charges stemming from a fight on Old Plank Road. Police said both men are charged with simple assault and harassment.1:22 a.m. Saturday — Adam Karch, 24, of Butler was arrested after police were called for a report of at least one man trying to break into a home on Oxcart Lane.Karch is charged with trespass, conspiracy, loitering and prowling at night, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. He was placed in Butler County Prison on $30,000 bail following arraignment.

Aug. 12 — An unknown burglar broke into a home on Breckenridge Street. A police news release did not say if anything was taken.State Police, Butler10:12 p.m. Sunday — Timmy A. Wheelock, 51, of Melbourne, Fla., was arrested for drunken driving on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.Police said they were called for a reported disabled pickup tuck on the side of the highway, and found Wheelock. A trooper smelled alcohol coming from the suspect while speaking to him, according to court documents.District Judge Sue Haggerty arraigned Wheelock on charges of driving under the influence and careless driving and remanded him to Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.11:30 p.m. Saturday — A pickup truck driven by Justin D. White, 18, of Slippery Rock crashed into a tree along Ralston Road in Slippery Rock Township. Police said White was cited for driving at an unsafe speed and other unspecified traffic violations.

11 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Morgan Richardson, 18, of Worthington struck an embankment at Church Road and Old Route 28 in North Buffalo Township. Police said Richardson was cited for careless driving.6:30 p.m. Saturday — Travis Lee Sandidge, 28, of Templeton was arrested on charges he sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl at a home on Toy Road in North Buffalo Township.Sandidge is charged with rape, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, corruption of minors and indecent assault. He remains in Armstrong County Jail on $25,000 bail.
