Joe Neigh’s generosity remembered

Like many others, I was shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Joe Neigh. He was a consummate volunteer and typically wanted to receive no special notoriety for his many projects and works.

One project involving Joe and his brothers, Paul and David, was plumbing installation at the Masonic Shelter in Alameda Park in 2003. The Neigh brothers donated their time, expertise (and much of the fixtures) to install the plumbing for the kitchen and restrooms at the shelter. Countless hours of work were given by these guys, and the cost otherwise would have been well in excess of $10,000! Our committee was so grateful to Joe and to his family.

Joe will be missed.
