Wolak, Hadley shine for SR

Butler's Ainsley Plant follows through on her swing on the No. 3 hole Thursday at Hiland Golf Course. The Golden Tornado girls golf team deferated Shady Side Academy, 183-218.

Slippery Rock placed fourth out of seven teams in the District 10, Region 2 golf tournament recently at Tam O'Shanter.

Jacob Wolak and Jack Hadley led the Rockets, both carding a 79. They tied for medalist honors with Grove City's Toby Matson.

Grove City won the tourney with a 336. Hickory took second with a 337, West Middlesex third at 359, followed by Slippery Rock at 363.

Plum 215, Knoch 235 — Cory Voltz led the Knights with a 43. Plum's Wes Lorish was medalist with a 36.
