Ruth Blackburn Large, 83, of Winfield Road died Thursday at Fair Winds Manor.

Born Jan. 28, 1925, in Sarver, she was the daughter of Herman and Laura Foertsch Riemer.

She worked as a bookkeeper for Riemer Gas, retiring this May.

She was a member of the Dorseyville Alliance Church.

Surviving are her son, Timothy (Andrea) Blackburn of Valencia; her sister, Pearl Riemer of Sarver; her two granddaughters, Diane Blackburn and Lisa Blackburn, both of Valencia; a great-grandson; her stepdaughter, Patricia (Kenneth) Porter of Valencia; her stepdaughter-in-law, Marjorie Blackburn of Butler; four step-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two husbands, Henry Blackburn and Paul Large; and a stepson, James Blackburn.

<B>LARGE </B>— Friends of Ruth Blackburn Large, who died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Brownfield officiating.
