Ernest H. 'Ernie' Lang

Ernest H. "Ernie" Lang, 70 of Cabot died Friday at his home.

Born Nov. 5, 1938, in Cabot, he was the son of Edward and Madeline (Montag) Lang.

He received an EE Degree from Grove City College. He worked as an engineer for US Steel and also was a lifelong farmer.

He was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot.

He was president and founder of Blazin' Blades Scroll Saw Club, charter member of the Scrollsaw Association of the World and on the board of directors of Hannahstown Mutual Insurance.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Lang, who he married on Nov. 10, 2007; two daughters, Dr. Linda S. (Kevin) Mathias of Cabot and Laura (John) Logan of Cabot; a stepson, A.J. (Bekah) Smith of Cabot; two sisters, Rachel (Kenith) Meissner of Saxonburg and Christine (Tom) Skelly of Virginia; two brothers, Glenn (Marny) Lang of Cabot and Jeffrey (Diane) Lang of Cabot; two stepbrothers, Harold (Carla) Pflueger of Saxonburg and Wayne (Sandi) Pflueger of Cabot; two stepsisters, Carol (Edward) Johnson of Cabot and Sandy Stoner of Cabot; and four grandchildren, Ellen and Kyle Mathias, Samantha and Alyssa Logan.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Lee (Caldwell) Lang, on Oct. 4, 1995.

<B>LANG</B>— Friends of Ernest H. "Ernie" Lang, who died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Lutheran Church with the Rev. Barry Keurulainen officiating. Burial will follow in St. Luke Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church, 330 Hannahstown Road, Cabot, PA 16023.
