Nicholas Ganter
Nicholas A. Ganter, 29, of Apollo, formerly of Chicora, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024, as the result of a motor vehicle accident.
Born Dec. 30, 1994, in Butler, he was the son of Robert F. and Carolyn A. (Huber) Ganter.
A 2013 graduate of Karns City Area Jr./Sr. High School, Nick most recently was employed by Passavant Memorial Homes as a skilled contractor. Though he was new to this job, he enjoyed his co-workers and company.
Nick previously had worked in the maintenance department at Vitro’s (PPG) Springdale location and Penn United in Saxonburg.
He was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Bradys Bend. Nick had an eye for creativity and enjoyed metal fabrication and carpentry. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being outdoors, especially with his children.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Carolyn Ganter of Chicora; two children, Noah and Nora Ganter; and one sister, Laura (Bradley) Kunz of New Kensington.
He also is survived by his fiancée, Marissa Gray of Apollo; his grandmother, Yolanda Ganter of Valencia; one nephew, Cole; three nieces, Camryn, Caylyn and Callie; and his former wife, Victoria Ganter.
Nick was preceded in death by his brother, Aaron Ganter.
GANTER — Friends of Nicholas A. Ganter, who died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at BUECHELE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 707 Kellys Way, East Brady.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 915 State Route 68, Bradys Bend, with the Rev. Arnel Tadeo celebrating.
