CRANBERRY TWP — An 11,000-square-foot, multitenant retail building is going in at the corner of Franklin Road and Route 228.

Cranberry supervisors Thursday night approved the developer’s land development plans for the project, to be called Franklin Square. The project is being developed by Stephan Davis, principal of Mansfield Capital.

Ron Henshaw, township planning and development services director, said the developer does not have any tenants identified yet, but the building could be split up to accommodate multiple retailers. The developer has not indicated when construction would begin, Henshaw said.

Mansfield Capital also built the building that houses Moe’s Southwest Grill to the west, off Route 228.

Franklin Square will have right-in, right-out entrances on Franklin Road and Route 228.

The property, 1656 Route 228, is 1.4 acres and is currently undeveloped.
