James Tyson

James Tyson, 80, of Richland Township died Friday at St. John Specialty Care Center, Mars.

Born Aug. 5, 1927, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of James and Charalene Roessing Tyson.

Jim was a member of the local Teamsters 249 and was a retired truck driver from the H.J. Heinz Co.

He was the beloved husband for 56 years of Grace Sahli Tyson and loving father of Charalene (Dean) Ingold of Shaler Township, David (Becky) Tyson of Slippery Rock and Beth Ann (John) Kurta of Hampton Township. He was the uncle of Dory Lemmon. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, George Tyson.

<B>TYSON</B> — Friends of James Tyson, who died Friday, July 4, 2008, will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at <B>Schellhaas Funeral Home</B>, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, Richland Township.Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church of Gibsonia with the Rev. Dr. Darcy Hawk, Rev. Dennis Molnar and Rev. Christina Ingold officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless Township.If desired, memorial contributions may be made in honor of James to the First Presbyterian Church of Gibsonia, 4003 Gibsonia Road, Gibsonia, PA 15044.
