Mercer state police seeking to identify suspect in armed robbery
Mercer County state police are requesting the public’s help identifying a suspect involved in an armed robbery that occurred in Salem Township on Monday, Feb. 12.
According to documents, the robbery occurred around 11:20 a.m. Monday at E & S Supplies on Osborn Road.
Police said a cashier reported a man entered the business and displayed a gun. The man attempted to force the cashier to come with him, but she fled on foot, documents show.
The man removed cash from the register and fled the scene in a dark gray or charcoal colored sedan, heading west toward Methodist Road, police said.
According to police, the suspect is a white male standing about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. The vehicle the man was driving possibly has a roof rack, documents show.
