Sandra McCuen
It is with a heavy heart we share the passing of Sandra Kaye (Martin) McCuen on Monday, Feb. 5, 2024.
Sandy was born on July 25, 1945, in Butler, to Charlotte May (Hoffman) Martin and James Leroy Martin.
She was a graduate of Knoch High School in 1963, and the D.T. Watson School of Physical Therapy in 1967. She was a compassionate clinician and a successful private practice owner. Sandy always told us to “wait to worry,” because she knew with time most of our worries disappear. She was always right. Sandy showed us how to live a life full of love and inclusion, to bring friends and family closer together.
Sandy, along with her husband Eric, was an avid traveler. They loved visiting extended and exchange student family members. Together they enjoyed many circles of beloved friends in all the places they called home — Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Colorado.
The only thing Sandy loved more than her profession was her family. Her husband and soul mate, Eric, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage; and three amazing children, Doug (Heather), Derrick (Debbie) and Leigh (Doug), who blessed her with grandchildren who lit up her life, Morgan, Grant, Charlotte, Jamin, Lil and Griffin. She also is survived by her brother, David Martin.
MCCUEN — Burial services for Sandra Kaye (Martin) McCuen, who died Monday, Feb. 5, 2024, will be private. Per Sandy's wishes, a celebration of life will be held in Colorado in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at www.lls.org.
