Dianne 'Sis' Schmidt

Dianne K. "Sis" Hoover Schmidt, 63, of Natrona Heights passed away Wednesday in the Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Natrona Heights.

She was born July 12, 1945, in Natrona Heights, the daughter of the late James F. and Julia Agnes Gallagher Hoover.

Sis worked as a courier for the Valley News Dispatch in Tarentum and most recently worked at the Welmart on Route 908 in Natrona Heights.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and especially her grandchildren.

Sis is survived by her husband of 42 years, Donald L. Schmidt; her children, Denise Krason of Natrona Heights and Donald (Stacey) Schmidt of New Kensington; her three grandchildren, Benjamin and Nicholas Krason and Kevin Schmidt; her brothers, Joseph (Katherine) Hoover of Arnold and her twin, Dean (Linda) Hoover of Natrona Heights.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Hoover Sr.; and her stepbrother, James Stewart.

<B>SCHMIDT </B>— Friends of Dianne K. "Sis" Hoover Schmidt, who died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, will be received from 6 to 8 p. m. today and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the <B>Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home</B>, 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, where a blessing service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church.
