Sentence court
The following defendants were sentenced Thursday, Feb. 1, in Common Pleas Court by Judge Joseph Kubit.
Kashawn L. Goldsmith, 28, of Pittsburgh, was sentenced to serve 24 to 48 months in prison after pleading guilty to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and firearms not to be carried without a license charges filed by state police following an Oct. 19, 2022, incident in Butler.
Jeremy L. Schmidt, 46, of West Sunbury, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation and ordered to have no contact with the victim after pleading guilty to a disorderly conduct charge filed by Butler city police following an Oct. 8 incident.
Karla Diane Kirschbaum, 51, of Pittsburgh, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation and pay restitution totaling $279.49 after pleading guilty to charges of disorderly conduct, retail theft and conspiracy to commit retail theft in three cases filed by Cranberry Township police following incidents on Oct. 7, Oct. 15 and Oct. 19, 2022.
Torie Lucas Bish, 36, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation and pay $7.74 in restitution to Dollar General after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct and two counts of retail theft in three cases filed by Butler city and state police following incidents on Dec. 11, 2020, and March 16 and Oct. 28, 2021.
