Bernard E. Riddell
Bernard E. Riddell, 69, of Butler passed away Saturday afternoon at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Bar Township, Cambria County, July 22, 1939, he was the son of the late Dea and Buelah Nagle Riddell.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He had retired from Burgh's Implement, Middle Lancaster.
He was an avid collector of Zippo lighters and Case pocket knives. He loved hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are a son, David (Linda) Riddell of Cranberry Township; a daughter, Ophelia (Michael) Chambers of Mars; two brothers, Russell Riddell of Ocoee, Fla., and Carl Riddell of Erie; seven sisters, Rozella (Edward) Keith and Jessie (Alvin) Keith of Ocoee, Shirley Detwiler of Northern Cambria, Alice (Paul) Keith of Marsteller, Ruby (Frank) Detwiler of Evans City and Sandra Tacoronte and Linda Garcia of Youngstown, Ohio; his companion, Kathryn Bartnikowski; grandchildren, Jennifer and David Riddell Jr. of Cranberry Township, Austin Riddell of Connoquenessing, Lisa Edinger of Mars and Thomas and Kurt Kelley of Eastern Pennsylvania; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a sister and two brothers.
<B>RIDDELL</B> — Friends and relatives of Bernard E. Riddell, who died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home</B>, Evans City. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev.
