Martha Jane Parison, 89, of Sarver, passed away on Friday, Jan. 19, 2024, at Magnolia Place of Saxonburg.

She was born Oct. 1, 1934, in Allison Park, Pa., and was a daughter of the late Christopher Clair Byrne and Martha Auld Byrne.

She was a 1953 graduate of Hampton High School. Jane was a member of St. Francis of Assisi, St. Joseph Worship Site, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers and a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed baking, canning, cooking, gardening, watching Pittsburgh sports and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her loving husband of 67 years, John Parison Jr.; her children, John C. (Veronica) Parison of Natrona Heights, Ronald J. (Brenda) Parison of Sarver, Barbara J. Bastian of Saxonburg, Sandra A. (Don) Selman of Carthage, Texas, Janet L. (Raymond) Mentel of Saxonburg and Edward T. (Robyn) Parison of Sarver; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister; three brothers; and her son-in-law, Bryan Bastian.

PARISON — Friends of Martha Jane Parison, who died Friday, Jan. 19, 2024, will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, 2024, at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis of Assisi Parish - St. Joseph Church, Cabot, with Father James Kurtz, OFM Cap., officiating.

Interment will follow in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery.
