Carol A. Land, 88, of Middlesex Township, died on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024.

She was born in Pittsburgh, on June 13, 1935, daughter of the late George and Mary Smith Sarricks.

Carol worked as a mail carrier for many years with the U.S. Postal Service in Glenshaw. She loved animals, enjoyed shooting pool, was a great friend to many people, and was a dear “Aunt” to countless nieces, nephews and friends.

She was the loving mother of Jennifer Nelson (late Gary) and Donald E. Land Jr.; sister of Eileen Delany, Marilyn Jamison, Lorraine DeWitt and the late Martha Cooker, George Sarricks and Patricia Daw; dear grandmother of Angella Yeager (Robert), Shawn Nelson and Heather Land; great-grandmother of Samantha, Robert III, Dominic, Noah and the late Izak. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

LAND — Friends of Carol A. Land, who died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mark the Evangelist Parish, Holy Sepulcher Catholic Church, 1304 E. Cruikshank Road, Butler. Interment will follow in Mount Royal Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Butler County Humane Society.
