I am writing this article about a new law for women whose husband has been convicted on a serious crime. I feel like wives has no rights when divorcing a criminal that a jury and judge convicted on a crime in a serious charge. My husband was convicted with child molestation and lied to be for years stating that he did not do the crime. Sometime last year my husband admitted to me that he had a problem with young boys that he could not control. This changed my whole outlook on my marriage in which I am in the process of getting a divorce. Everything that we owned was taken away because he would not give permission to sale. He is now trying to take my car away from me for which the man is in prison for 6-20 years. I feel there should be a law that if a person is involved in a serious crime they should be stripped away any rights. I talk to people that told me get it with an divorce for the property but the problem is when a car registration is due for renewal and the inmate will not sign for it that hurts the party that which the car can not get inspection or register. My soon to be ex husband who is in prison also wants alimony while he is incarcerated. I am tired of laws not helping the wives out of a bad situation and I feel like a victim. I am hoping to go on with my life but sometime I feel like an inmate while the state feeds, clothes and gives him a bed I have to worry about how am I going to pay for rent, bills or even food. I am hoping that people will read this and respond because I should have a right to get away from this animal. Thank you
