Joseph M. Fleischmann, 64, of Butler, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024, at his home.

He was born Feb. 4, 1959, in St. Louis, Mo., a son to the late Dorothy (White) Fleischmann.

He graduated from Cleveland High in St. Louis and then from Davis and Elkins College in Elkins, W.Va., with a degree in social work. He had worked at Irene Stacy in Butler from 1982 until his retirement in 2014. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding quads and spending time at his camp.

Surviving are his wife, Lisa J. (Glover) Fleischmann, whom he married Aug. 15, 1981; his children, Jessica (Jason) Mentel and Timothy “TJ” Fleischmann; his beloved grandchildren, Quinn Wozny, Harper Wozny and Jacob Mentel; one brother, Kenneth (Martha) Fleischmann; one sister, Sharon Schloss (Bob Grass); and numerous nieces and nephews.

FLEISCHMANN — Family and friends of Joseph M. Fleischmann, who died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024, will gather from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. Services to follow at 4 p.m.
