William Leonhard Jr.
William E. Leonhard Jr., 60, of Mars died Saturday afternoon at the Center for Compassionate Care in Mount Lebanon after a three-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in Pittsburgh, Feb. 4, 1949, he was the son of the late William E. and Margaret Larkin Leonhard Sr.
Bill was the owner of the W.E.L. Instrument Co. LLC, a microscope sales and service company.
He was a member of the Bradfordwoods Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
He was an avid traveler and loved to vacation with family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Kendra Kobert Leonhard, who he married Jan. 15, 1982; two daughters, Jessica Sauers and her husband, Brian, of Mars and Sara Schlichtkrul and her husband, Derek, of Valencia; two sisters, Margaret "Peggy" Thieleman and her husband, George, of Mars and Janet Unikel and her husband, Harold, of Pittsburgh; two brothers, J. Dean Leonhard and his wife, Denise, of Mars and James J. Leonhard and his wife, Cyndy, of Valencia; and nieces, nephews, in-laws and many friends.
