Daniel A. Nowicki, 86, of Cabot, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024, at Sunnyview Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Born Oct. 9, 1937, on the family farm in Jefferson Township, he was the son of Leon Nowicki and Lillian Mrozinski Nowicki.

Dan was a lifelong farmer and had worked at Pullman Standard. To him, farming always came first.

He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Herman.

Surviving are his wife, Susan Nowicki, whom he married May 6, 1961; his children, Julie Simonin of Jacksonville, Fla., Eric (Sue) Nowicki of Greensburg, Valerie (Jay) Gombos of Cabot, Christine (Ron Tautkus) Nowicki of Butler and Ethan (Tracee) Nowicki of Cabot; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.

NOWICKI — Friends of Daniel A. Nowicki, who died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 821 Herman Road, Butler, with the Rev. Ward Stakem officiating.
