A free informational workshop is being offered on how to plan ahead to pay for nursing home costs and protect your home and assets in the process.

The workshop will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 24 at Heritage Elder Law, 318 S. Main St. in downtown Butler. The session will focus on how planning today can impact your finances in the future and will cover Medicaid qualification and estate recovery liens.
