Schuller 50th anniversary
John and Janice Schuller of Sarver celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a family dinner and party at their home. The event was hosted by the couple's children and their spouses.
The former Janice Prager married Schuller Nov. 10, 1956, in Tarentum.
They have six children, Cheryl Schaeffer of Albemarle, N.C.; Diane Dunkle of Butler; Sue Watt of Vandergrift; Dan Schuller of Freeport; Beverly Rogacki of Allegheny Twp; and Amy Ingram of Orange, Texas.
They also have 21 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
Schuller retired in 1997 from Rescar Rail Repair in Orange. He is also a former employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad, Allegheny Sand and Loam, Leslie Excavating, Pullman Standard and Trinity Industries. He enjoys gardening, woodwork and fishing.Mrs. Schuller enjoys baking, caring for her houseplants and fishing.The couple delivered newspapers and were the owners of Janice's Bait and Tackle in Freeport and Leechburg.They belong to St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Freeport, where Mrs. Schuller is a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
