Dorothy M. Schnell
Dorothy M. Schnell, 94, formerly of Evans City, died Sunday at the Haven Nursing Center following an extended illness.
Born Oct. 26, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Bessie Lyford McWilliams.
She was married to the late Russell Schnell, who passed away in 1962.
Dorothy had worked at Peffer Cleaning Services in Zelienople for several years.
She enjoyed flowers and gardening. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting and making blankets.
Survivors include two sons, Doug (Cyndy) Schnell of Shenango Township and Jeff Schnell of Albany, Ga.; two sisters, Pauline Burns of Valencia and Florence Dally of Evans City; one brother, Richard McWilliams of Slippery Rock; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Russell Schnell in 1984; two sisters, Helen McWilliams and Frances Quigley; and two brothers, Wendell and Frank McWilliams.
<B>SCHNELL</B> — Visiting hours for Dorothy M. Schnell, who died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Marshall Funeral Home</B>, 200 Fountain Ave., Ellwood City. Funeral services will be at the funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Gary Waguespack of the Neshannock United Presbyterian Church officiating.
