6:31 p.m. Tuesday — An unidentified blue or dark-colored Ford Explorer is suspected in a hit-and-run crash at Monroe and Penn streets. The vehicle, which possibly has a New Jersey license plate, was last seen turning east onto Pearl Street from Monroe Street.The suspect vehicle should have “a fair amount” of damage on the driver's side.Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724.207-7743.10:53 p.m. Monday — Sam A. Colosimo, 71, of Summit Township was arrested for driving under the influence after his car struck two other vehicles parked on South Cliff Street. Colosimo admitted to police that he had been drinking.A breath test showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.177 percent, according to a police report, or more than twice the state's 0.08 percent level considered intoxicated.7:26 p.m. Monday — Amy N. Sites, 31, of Adrian, Armstrong County, was arrested on a felony drug warrant following a traffic stop on West Cunningham Street. Police said Sites was wanted on the warrant from Armstrong County in a suspected drug trafficking case.She was placed in the Butler County Prison on the warrant. Jeremy M. Carr, 23, of Kittanning, a passenger in her car, was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana after officers found a suspected marijuana blunt on the passenger side floor.
5:06 p.m. Monday — Joshua S. Sunday, 30, of Butler Township was arrested after he allegedly snatched an employee's purse at the Chili's restaurant in Butler Commons.Two other employees chased Sunday, who ended up dropping the purse, according to court documents.Police found Sunday hiding under a van at the nearby Mikan Volkswagen dealership.District Judge Sue Haggerty arraigned Sunday on charges of theft, receiving stolen property and disorderly conduct, and sent him to the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail.
6:30 a.m. Tuesday — An unidentified white truck tractor hauling a flat-bed trailer struck a utility pole and ran over two garbage cans on Venango Trail in Slippery Rock Township. The truck driver did not stop.10:17 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Lynda A. Stewart, 44, of Valencia crashed into at least two trees along Forsythe Road just northeast of Harbison Road in Middlesex Township.
