Semel 60th anniversary
Joseph and Evelyn Semel of Zelienople and Fort Myers, Fla., will celebrate 60 years of marriage with a family dinner.
Semel married the former Evelyn Barnhart on Oct. 9, 1954, at St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church in Zelienople.
They have three children, Terry (Fred) Rose of Sewickley, Gregg (Jen) Semel of Zelienople and Stacy Bates of Fort Myers Beach, Fla.
They also have five granddaughters.
Semel was an auto dealer and owner of Billco Motors in Wexford.
He is a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is a former member of the executive committee of the Pennsylvania Auto Association, a former director of the Pittsburgh Auto Dealers Association, a former president of the Zelienople Lions Club and a former member of the Zelienople Library board.
Mrs. Semel is a homemaker.
She is a member of a bridge club, a former member of the PTA, Travelers Club and Alpha Birdwell, and a former president of Southwest Aquatic Club.
The Semels are members of St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church. They also are members of the Cypress Lake Country Club and the Grove City Country Club.
