Military vets asked to share Jeep stories
The Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival and VA Butler Healthcare are partnering to give veterans the opportunity to submit stories about Jeeps they used in the military and then to tell those stories at a luncheon that kicks off the festival.
The annual Veteran’s Recognition Luncheon will be June 3 at VA Butler Healthcare.
The festival will be June 13 to 15 in Butler and at Cooper’s Lake in Worth Township.
Since 2011, veterans have shared stories about their military experiences involving Jeeps.
Stories and photographs can be mailed by April 30 to Paula McCarl, VA Butler Healthcare, 325 New Castle Road, Butler, PA 16001.
Stories and photographs also can be emailed to Paula.McCarl@va.gov.
If veterans are unable to write or have someone write it for them, they may contact McCarl at 724-285-2575 to have the story documented.
Also they can call McCarl for details about what should be in the stories.
Photographs will be returned.
The stories will be compiled into a booklet that will be created for the luncheon, and veterans will be invited to attend and tell their stories at the event.
Call the Butler County Tourism and Convention Bureau at 724-234-2291 for information for the festival.
