Carl Z. Thompson, 86, of Butler, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023, after a long hard-fought battle with an extended illness.

He was born in Pittsburgh, on March 13, 1937, to the late William and Mary Thompson.

Carl served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy for over 22 years.

He was hardworking and liked by all who met him. He will be forever remembered and loved.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, whom he was with for over 30 years, Mary (Gerba) Thompson, and a large and loving family.

THOMPSON — All services for Carl Z. Thompson, who died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023, will be held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
