Randi Lynn Klingensmith
Randi Lynn Klingensmith, 20, of Evans City died Tuesday due to a traffic accident the day before her 21st birthday.
Born Sept. 17, 1987, in Bethesda Naval Hospital, Md., she was the daughter of G. Kevin and Danette Lynn Braun Klingensmith.
She enjoyed playing the piano, trumpet, softball, and soccer in her youth.
She was a Girl Scout (K-12). Randi was attending Butler County Community College and was a graduate of Seneca Valley in 2005 where she participated in many chorus competitions.
She also had attended Slippery Rock University for two years. She attended Awanas at First Baptist as a child and was baptized with her parents. She volunteered at Glade Run Stables and had worked at Pizza Hut in Zelienople in her youth.
She also had worked at Associates in Ophthalmology.
She enjoyed spending time with her boyfriend, Jason Prossor at McConnells Mills; attending concerts, family gatherings, turkey shoots with her father, playing games on her laptop, cards, boating and tubing, reading, drawing, Chinese food, and ice cream and Skittles.
She loved her dog, Sergeant, who she slept with every night. She also enjoyed learning to cook with her Grandma Braun. Her favorite color was orange.
Surviving are her parents of Evans City; three sisters, Nichole Klingensmith and her fiancé, Andrew Litzenger, Jenna Klingensmith and Angel Klingensmith, all at home; a brother, Dustin Klingensmith at home; her maternal grandmother, Treada (McKissick) Braun of Bridgewater; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Sandy Klingensmith of Butler; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Daniel Braun.
<B>KLINGENSMITH</B>— Friends of Randi Lynn Klingensmith, who died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, Butler. Additional visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Evans City, 242 S. Washington St., Evans City, with Pastor Jeff MacKay officiating.
