William F. Fontaine
William F. Fontaine, 83, of Ietto Drive, Butler, died Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 14, 1926, in Butler to the late Frank J. and Margaret Mary Fetzko Fontaine.
Mr. Fontaine owned and operated Mickey and Bill's Garage in Butler with his brother-in-law, Mickey Ietto, from 1973 until his retirement in 1991. He also worked for 21 years at the Pullman-Standard Car Co.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a member of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
Mr. Fontaine is survived by a son, Jeffrey W. Fontaine and his wife, Heidi, of Beaver Falls; a brother, Harold Fontaine and his wife, Erma, of Butler; a sister, Dorothy Rodgers of Butler; two grandchildren, Dominic and Jessika Fontaine of Butler; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother and his wife, Pauline "Polly" Ietto Fontaine, whom he married Nov. 27, 1952, and who died June 8, 2002. After her death, he maintained a close relationship with his brothers and the sisters-in-law of the Ietto family.
<B>FONTAINE</B> — Friends of William F. Fontaine, who died Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, will be received form 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the <B>GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Butler with the Rev. James Salberg, pastor, officiating. Entombment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
