Dorothy McQuay Porter, 93, of Zelienople, formerly of Butler and Myrtle Beach, S.C., passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023.

Born March 6, 1930, in Washington, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Maudeline (Prigg) McQuay and William McQuay.

She was the beloved wife of James McMahon Porter, whom she married on Aug. 18, 1951, and who passed away in 2005. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, James Jerome.

She is survived by her four children, Daniel Porter, Michael Porter (Cecilia), Denise Bintrim (Ken) and Lisa Barnhart (Dean). She also has nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed retirement together with her husband in Myrtle Beach for almost 20 years.

PORTER — Private services for Dorothy McQuay Porter, who died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023, are being held for her family.
