North Country Brew Pub appoints new executive chef
The North Country Brew Pub in Slippery Rock announced on Tuesday, Oct. 31 that it has appointed John Guisto as its new executive chef.
Guisto, who attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania, promises to bring a fresh menu which not only tastes good, but is made with locally sourced and environmentally sustainable ingredients. According to a news release from the Brew Pub, Guisto is working with local farmers to source grass-fed cattle and elk.
North Country is hosting a soft opening on Monday, Nov. 13 to celebrate the launch of its newly revamped menu. The event is private and only members of the Brew Pub’s “Mug Club” will be invited. The opening lasts from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The new menu will be available to the general public the following day.
