Summit Township stop results in heroin charges

A Williamsburg woman faces a felony charge after police said a copious amount of suspected heroin was found in her fanny pack during a traffic stop in Summit Township.

Iyccah D. Stone, 32, was charged Monday, Oct. 30, with felony drug sales and misdemeanor use and possession of drug paraphernalia following the Sunday night stop on Route 422.

State police said they stopped a vehicle around 7:43 p.m. for several vehicle code violations. Stone was identified as a passenger in the vehicle. Police said a rolled $100 bill secured with a rubber band and several empty glassine bags were on the floor near her feet.

A vehicle search was conducted, police said, and 268 empty glassine bags were discovered in a bag behind the passenger seat.

The driver and Stone indicated that the bag did not belong to them, documents showed. When Stone was searched, police said 141 glassine bags of suspected heroin were discovered in a fanny pack around her waist.

Court documents reflected Stone was arrested and placed in Butler County Prison in lieu of $5,000.
