Police identify man struck by train in Butler
Police have identified a Butler man who died Wednesday, Oct. 25, after he was struck by a train near the 400 block of Negley Avenue.
Zecheriah Summerville, 33, of Butler was hit by a Canadian National Railroad Train that was traveling through the area at 35 mph, Butler Bureau of Police Chief Bob O’Neill said Thursday.
According to police, Summerville was deceased when officers arrived around 7:19 p.m.
His death appeared accidental, and officers have notified the family, O’Neill said. An investigation is ongoing.
